I'm thankful for Kindergarten!

Today I'm thankful for kindergarten innocence...

While these little ones can't possibly imagine the stress that goes into planning their day (data analysis, test scores, state standards, all while making everyday seem like a party), sometimes the simplest sign of appreciation is all you need to keep going.  After making turkey costumes, drumstick name plates, and an old fashion Thanksgiving feast, D says to me with the most genuine little voice, "Thank you, Miss Sirek."  I asked her for what.  "Thank you for letting me come here."  Well if that didn't just melt my heart.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Kindergarten friends and families!
